Halloween is almost here and kiddos across the country are eager to get their hands on as many treats as they can. We've all been guilty of holding on to extra Halloween candy way too long-- don't get stuck with this year's Halloween candy next year-- donate it! Soldiers' Angels Treats for the Troops program collects excess Halloween candy and ships it to deployed service members in care packages! We also hand out the candy to veterans in VA Hospitals for a sweet treat. We have collection sites all over the country and more are being added every day. Find a Soldiers' Angels Treats for Troops drop-off site near you!

This year we set a new record--- 13,000 stuffed holiday stockings pledged through our Holiday Community Partner Program! Individuals, businesses, and organizations have stepped up in a huge way this year to spread some holiday cheer to deployed service members and veterans. From contributions of 1 stocking to over 1,400 stockings, each and every partner in this program is helping to ensure that our military heroes and sheroes know we remember and support them. The stockings are flowing in to our headquarters in San Antonio and to our VA Representatives across the country. Take a look at our Facebook album to see just some of the amazing stockings that are on their way to troops and veterans!

The Soldiers' Angels Adopt-A-Family Program will be closing registration to applications from military/veteran families today (Monday, December 4th, 2017) at 5:00pm CST. Registration for individuals and businesses interested in adopting a family will remain open.
Adopting an entire family through the Soldiers' Angels Adopt-A-Family Program can be a big request, which is why we also run a GoFundMe campaign for anyone who just wants to pitch in. We get hundreds of applications each year for military families hoping to receive holiday support. Your donations to this campaign will help us provide gifts for military children and holiday meals for military families. Learn more about how your donations will help spread holiday cheer.
'Tis the season of giving! Whether you choose to support Soldiers' Angels or another charity of your choice, we want you to be safe and aware while making charitable donations or deciding what charity to support.

Being a caregiver for a wounded, ill or injured veteran can be extremely difficult. Many caregivers spend so much time taking care of their family that they forget to care for themselves. That's why Soldiers' Angels created the Women of Valor Team-- to help ensure our female military caregivers are pampered, loved, and provided with the necessary support materials to help them along their journey. Learn more about the Soldiers' Angels Women of Valor Team and how you can help support caregivers.
Birthdays are a big deal on Facebook. Months before your Birthday, select friends are prompted to start planning a party for you and on your actual Birthday your friends are all notified and prompted to post on your timeline. The result is a wall full of Birthday wishes that make your special day a little more special. In an effort to be a little more charitable, Facebook has a fun new Birthday feature that we’re really excited about! Now, you can DONATE your Birthday and raise funds for a charity-- including Soldiers' Angels!
This past weekend, we celebrated Veterans Day. A time to recognize and show appreciation for the service and sacrifice of our current military service members and veterans of all generations. Through a variety of unique programs, this team tirelessly support our veterans at VA Hospitals, Stand Downs, Mobile Food Distributions and more. We are proud to announce that the inaugural Soldiers' Angels Veteran Mobile Food Distribution in Atlanta, Georgia was a huge success! Thanks to all of the many participating volunteers, over 200 veterans and their families were provided with food assistance. The inaugural event even featured a full ribbon-cutting ceremony prior to the distribution to mark the start of what will now be a monthly event in Atlanta. Thank you to the Atlanta Community Food Bank and the Atlanta VA for their assistance in getting this program up and running!
